I just got the XP4 about 6 months ago and I love it, it is very user friendly and the durability is great this car can take a beating, and I went from a serpent 950r to the XP4. I wouldn't think twice about it get it and you'll love it.

We just held and HOA series race at our track which all of the Delta guys were there racing including Dave himself and I would have to say that all the guys were first class. Nearly every 8th scale in the A-main was the Xp4 including the tq.

Not only does Dave build an awsome car he also makes great tools to use on the car as well as other nitro cars.

I now just wish I had the money and the balls to race one these fine rc machines.

Thanks for the input and feedback, guys. I appreciate it. I got your PM, Rysn, thanks. The comments could be invaluable. I have heard nothing but great things about this car, and knowing the Delta history, I'm sure this car is no exception to their excellence. If I can get my hands on this car, I think I'm going to buy it. Donno if I will ever be able to afford to finish it, but I will get the car.

Thanks,

doug

I just got my xp4. I am not running it until next season but it looks WAY better than my mrx4 that i ran this season. There are front belt issues but i heard a rumor that dave will be working on that this winter. If you read this dave could you please send me a setup for the car?

Congratulations on your purchase of a most excellent car. Most of the front belt problems have pretty well been sorted out with Dave offering a belt tensioner setup and also a wide belt setup using a Bando belt. I have both on my car and dont even think about the front belt anymore.

From what I have gathered from the Car. It drives Great. handles great. But you can't rely on it to finish. You need to change the belt quite often.
Have seen belts break in the middle of the mains. Front and rear. And A few guys are running Serpent stuff on it. Have even seen Pinnions break for no reason. Just going down the straight. When they get the bugs worked out and some of the Issues. it will be good. They might of done that on the New Kyosho.

Yes Most of the guys at HOA are Delta. Why, Because they all drive what ever Dave drives. Its a fact. People drive what the fast guys at thier track run. Go to Swuagers home track and I bet its all mainly Mugens. Birch's track is more likey Kyosho's.

Actually, you are quite wrong. We have been campaigning the car for 14 months. The belt issue was solved well over a year ago. We campaign 8 Evolva's (Very similar to the Delta car). We haven't had any problems finishing races. Go to our website and see for yourself. I don't mind people having a car preference, but don't bash another product - especially when you are wrong. empirercracing.com look at the race results. The RAMS point winner for this year, Scott Kimbrow, runs an Evolva - TQed and won every event, except one - we had a spur gear come off - only because I didn't tighten it down properly.

I love my Delta, best driving 1/8 I have had.

I too am a Delta dealer!!

I have some of the Evola 05 parts, might convert my car over for this weekends HOA race. Not sure if I have time.
