Delta Dudes: During last weeks Winter Nats. a few new Delta parts were tried.

Dave's new hard coated Alm. pinion gears worked great. Four or Five or us ran the gears all week long. No signs of wear were seen on the gear that were checked last Sat. Also the Plastic gears did not show wear or change shape either. A double +

A couple of guys were to try the pinions on Mugen car, but I never heard any feed back from them. You have to watch that Art guy.

Delta's New Red anodized upper front arm mounts worked well during this event. Dave also has made a different designed upper front arm mount that moves the pins out further and lower. These mounts showed no great improvement on the Ft Meyers track. You never know about the next track.

Dave promises more new parts for the next race. Note: You will want some of the new pinions.

Scream your Monkey, Hammer.

New pinions are awesome! I ran them at the Vegas race and they showed no signs of wear at all. A must have.

What's with moving the upper front arm mount out and down? I thought that by moving it up it lowered the roll center in turn creating more grip? I put a couple 1mm shims under mine rasing them 1mm and it helped my front grip quite a bit.

Glad you guys liked the gears. We will be able to get alot more run time with these gears with the hardcoat along with durability. After a week of racing all of the gears looked very good to me at the race. If I could figure out how to post picture of the gears on here I would. In the meantime I will try to get them on our website along with some other pictures this week. :D

The truth be told. Delta Dave would have done better in the Main, except his pit man drew a face on Dave's RC driving helmet and that threw him off his game. We may see a 4 leaf clover on the Delta for the next race.

Take a look at the top picture for a veiw of the eyes and mouth. Kind of hard to believe that can be seen from the drivers stand.

That being said, Dave's car did look the best going around the track of anyone at the race, day in and day out.

deltadave 03-03-2006 07:36 AM

Tony--Sorry I let you down. I will try harder next time. :sneaky:
How was the Snowbirds?

John--Thank you. I don't know about that electric thing. Last time it was hard to get a lap in with you guys.

LSTT---4 leaf clover, huh. I will have to think that over. Never mess with a good thing was my motto for the week. But some people just dont listen. :ha:
