Yeah, that's exactly the way I see it.

The hardest thing, I think will be getting the folks, as you can see, that have preconceived notions on what it's gonna be like, to give us an honest try and come enjoy themselves.

I agree with some of the earlier posts. Pit tables, Chairs, Power, and Air compressor should be high on the list of things to have. I so understand that all of those things cost money, but if you are running the track as a business, they are necessary. Now if you are running the track more as a club, you can slowly add those amnenties as you have the funds.

Maybe a fun atmosphere where newcomers do not feel intimidated.

1. Separate the serious racers from the newcomers who are racing for fun. Maybe a separate day for each skill level. If on same day, educate serious racers to have fun and help newcomers.

2. A run what you brung category, just for them to experience the feel of racing.

Trophies, AMB, money... non of those things were necessary to have fun racing in the glory days of the 80s.

Fun atmosphere:

1. Event for the whole family. More like a social gathering with racing fun.

2. Low cost racing.

Just my opinion.
