Default Help...anyone with a 4-Tec.

I got my traxxas 4-tec used and it has the gas tank out of it at the moment. I need to get it running again and am still learning everything about these nitro rc's.

Can someone help me out,and tell me an easy way to get the gas tank back in? I dont want to have to disassemble anything else with the chassis if at all possible...since I dont know enough about em yet to go through a rigorous disassembly process. I would like to be able to just stick it back in place, but of course it is never that easy. I already took off the starter motor from the engine to gain a little more access.

This is pretty much how it looks right now.

IT looks like you dont have anyother option but to take the car apart. Before you do, make sure you have an instruction manual, that way you can put it together a little easier. You will also learn how everything goes together, so next time you have a problem, it will be easier to fix.

you dont have any other choice but to take the whole upper deck apart like nitrodude said make sure you have the instruction manual with you it will guide you when putting it back together I believe you can download the manual here
http://www.traxxas.com/products/nitr...4tec_views.htm

go down to MANUALS/INSTRUCTIONS pdf format
and dl the manual

I have alot of respect for this car It was my first nitro rc and this thing can take a beating ive crashed this thing so many times with only minor damage and its tons of fun to play with. Dont be afraid to take the car apart that is the best thing about this hobby is learning your car and how it works and then aplying your knowledge to the track

good luck
