Default Futaba servos and XS3 Receiver

I recently bought two new Futaba servos that I wanted to put into an XS3 receiver (since its crystaless) and on the servos there is a little lip that prevents it from going into the receiver. Is there a way around this or is it that futaba and JR products are not compatible?

They work fine together, but you have to cut off the little tab.
