If im not mistaken, I believe that the MRX-3 is the first 1/8th on-road car they made. Im not too sure if Mugen had a previous car prior from the MRX-3. There have been three MRX-3's. The first edition version, the Osaka limited edition, and the works version.

I know mugen had the MRX-2 before thet MRX-3... Even before MRX-2 there was the Sting... (I'm feeling myself kind old now!)

Be careful when buying something because the MRX-4 is supposed to be out I think In mid-end of the year...

Damn, now that's going a fair way back. A friend of mine still has one of those and the snake version (excel) or should that be the other way around?

thanks guys, I've been offered MRX-3 at a good price, its only 3 months old, I was just wanting to know a little history of the model. I've got a Veteq at the moment, what do you guys thinks the best as I find the Veteq a little tricky to set-up ?

If your getting it at a good price i would take it. The MRX3 is a far better car than the Veteq and you will get parts for it for long enough. I just bought one too myself to do a little 1:8th practising this summer. Planning a full return to 1:8th next year.

thanks mate, the only thing that puts me off about the MRX is that it looks like a 6yr old Vector at first glance LOL.But I suppose that is no bad thing concidering the stick the Veteq has taken in the last year or so, maybe as P.M. Blair might say "Lest get back to basics" is the way go

The MRX3 is is a fantastic car with a huge sweet spot. During the entire time I was running the Veteq, I only ever got it on the boil 2/10 times. And the car is just impossible to work on compared to the MRX3. True the MRX3 looks a bit old school, but so does the 950R.....I think the conventional suspension set up just works best. You wont regret the MRX3.
