Ok....Now that you have cleaned it up quite a bit and the front wheels are off, I think I know what front end is on the car. I believe that is a 10th scale 235mm electric car front end made by TRC back in the day. I still have one of those cars in my collection. These cars were actually made by Delta. That front end was used on Delta's 10th scale car and on compositcraft's first electric car also. Soo...You have a Associated 300BD 1/8 scale rear end with a 10th scale front end.

In 1990 I ran a very similar car to what you have there, RC-300BD rear end with a round bar front end that I machined myself. I used RC-300 steering blocks that were entirely made of hardened steel. I also used a scaled up 12th scale type T-bar on the car. It handled great. 1992 was the last year we ran the Pan class in Texas.

I hope you put the car together and run it. It would be a kick to see one of these old dogs back on the track!!!!

Dale

+1 on the TRC front end, I have several from the TRC Pro-10 that I raced back in the day.

Default Composite Craft

Hey guys, after checking out this thread I thought you might be interested in my Composite Craft Facebook page. I've got some pics from the good old days with more to come on and off the track, and feel free to post pics and stories.
Just search Team Composite Craft on facebook

Here's a couple of pan car pictures that was listed as a TRC nitro pan car that I glombed on to from somewhere.

Rear pod looks the same as yours except someone with a heavy hand "improved" it by lightening it.

Think you have it right that is a composite craft car. When TRC bought them they made a gas car like the one you have.

Here is a Progress Update on the TRC Composite Craft Python. I still have a bit more work to do. Some Hardware still needs replacing. The GP Magnum 15 has a new sleeve, piston and Con Rod - the old items were hand modded by original owner perhaps. Air Filter is a new Motor Saver. Front end is an Adjustable TRC Item, TM BBS Pan car wheels (not stock but close enough). Has Tecnacraft Turnbuckles and a Paris Pipe installed, yet I will attempt to make an OEM rear exhaust to be correct. Everything has been cleaned up, still need to find some smaller Futaba servos and a period NiCD Receiver Pack. Also have an S&K Airs Lotec on standby for the chassis.
