AE_Racer: go to www.myrcworld.net, select "columns" and then
Tenthoff's article on mounting GTP/Lola bodies on the Impulse...
Has photos of mods and completed setup...very imformative.
BTW, Tenthoff works for and races for Serpent.

sup guys....ran my impulse at the local track today...the thing keeps slipping. what should i do? when i go into a turn, the back just spins forward. i'm using 40 shore tires all around. a friend of mine who's good with r/cs says i should try the stiffer springs up front first. also i've been hearing from a lot of people that i should just cake in the diff grease they give you.

I had the RB X12 and it was a great little engine. Passed people on the straightaway like there wsa no tomorrow. Besides modified tuner engines it's probably the second fastest ROAR legal motor. Plus it's a nova so you know you're getting quality.

try either softer springs in the rear or harder in the front for more rear traction.. and if that doesnt help much you might try heavier wt oil in the rear diff.

also try reduce the rear droop setting (move up 1 or 2 mm on your droop gauge from your current setting) to minimize weight transfer to the front of your car.

i believe thats it.
Just to let other people know, using the 808150 body mounts, you will be forced to loose the 7mm spacers, assuming you run a PRO kit that is. This is mentioned in Milko Tenthoff's article.

So best is to go with the 808143 rear carbon bodymounts and you will still be able to keep the 7mm spacers.

I'm thinking about getting and Impulse Pro, I'm not familiar with "Gear Diffs" and I was wondering what the advantage or disadvantages are.

Would it be in my interest to upgrade to the Impact's Ball Diff? And if so, would I need to modify anything else?
