No, it's an OFNA OB4. Trust me, never owned one myself but worked on dozens of them. HPI doesn't have a patent on purple and those are the stock gears. Also, it's the pro kit version. RTR had an aluminum upper deck.

Here is the RTR: http://www.ofna.com/ob4rtr.html

I believe its a Ofna, By searchin for the manual. As for Purple part I still think its HPI RS3/4. My7 nephew had HPI in '04.

Yep! I'll go with Ashford Hobby. Robert takes care of me also. He holds premium kits and supplies parts.

Nope, OFNA used purple too. Unless you're talking about the purple side belt tensioner/brace. A lot of people used the HPI one though I think OFNA sold one too, not sure. Here is a full pic of the RTR

Used to run Mugens, now running Shepherd.

Are you talking about that side brace next to the gears? Like I said, I think it is HPI. I know the HPI one would fit and I can't remember if OFNA ever offered an aluminum one or not.

Default 100% OFNA, not HPI, not CEN

Here are a few pics of my Ofna. All of the purple aluminum parts are ofna including the gears. The last pictures shows the parts used to convert earlier OB4's to left side belt. Those came from the unbuilt one I have.

The OB4 in my opinion was just as good as the top kits at the time. It has an centax clutch which I think HPI didn't or ever have. Pivot ball suspension, adjustable front caster. Closer to the then current Mugen than the HPI. This wasn't Ofna's first nitro however. They had one called the Z10, which I have also. That was maybe an HPI knockoff. I also still have electric and nitro Z10's. What's funny is that the current ofna JL10 uses the suspension from the z10.
