Is someone working on bringing this track back online? Is there the possibility of another onroad track being put together in Vegas. Raced the 2003 HPI Worlds and 2005 Paris Memorial, along with a few club races on visits, and had a blast!! It is a shame that a good track is gone due to political (r/c politics) issues.

It seems the locals are content to run electric in parking lots and waste a great potential in the Silverbowl. It's sad that some people chased Rich away when it looks like he is the only one who cared enough to keep racing there.

Too bad there's not another Bill Bennet in Vegas that could put life back into the Silverbowl similar to the Circus Hobbies era was to aircraft events.

That track should not be allowed to vanish.

If he cared so much he wouldnt have taken all the equipment with him, he would have worked with the people that wanted to make the silverbowl better, instead he took everything. Rich didnt care about anything other than himself.

He took what he purchased, and ran the track as a business which the county allowed and new completely about. If you ran a business would you leave purchased equipment behind?

Small thinkers always lose in the end. Perfect example.

Then he didnt care about RC, he cared about himself. For most of us RC is not a bussines, its something we do for fun. He should have worked with the local racers to make the Silverbowl better, most other tracks I know of are run as clubs, the people that run the tracks listen to the racers, as without racers the is no track. I went there in 2010 and the place was a mess! He used the "drivers meeting" as an "election campaign" for his election run at ROAR LOL talk about ethics.

The track is still there, and I feel it will be back with the support from the area racers.

I hope it comes back too...........I won't debate the rest of your points as it is all water under the bridge at this point. I am not trying to defend everything Rich did or the way he went about doing it, but I will say most of it is way exagerated and up to this point nobody is doing anything about it except bitching about the past and they did nothing then to "HELP" and nothing now.

I was at that 2010 drivers meeting and if I were running for roar president , I would have brought it up as well. From what I've seen , he would have done much more for GT in the U.S. than Steve has. I helped Rich when I went down to a race there and I didn't see anyone else offering to help. I just think those that wanted Rich gone have done nothing since to get the track up and running. I would have taken what I purchased as well. I just think it's a sad situation that by trying to rid the racing director from the scene, it has now eliminated the racing for everyone. Where are those people now?, and why haven't they done what they said they would.

Ditto: What I heard he was not a people person. He disappeared after re-election of ROAR Officers. Silver Bowl is on County property. They do what they want. Was under Rich Taylor lease for 10 years, Geuss he doesnt want
it no more. He would argue with anybody, that's why local people dislike him, other clubs disliked him. It'll take a good person or club to bring it back up and running. May why he took the driver stand & barrier out of there!!! I really dont know!!!

You are correct William.

As for the people who don't live in Las Vegas Any time you want to come down here and sit in on a meeting with county parks you are more the welcome to do so. This way you can hear it for your selfs and stop inturpitation of some one else story. Rich is not a victim here, no one ran him out. What happen to Rich is public at the County office or on line if you wish to look it and watch the video of the county meeting. Facts are exactly that facts.

As for the track there are few of us willing to donate $$ to resurface this track, I and other have had several conversation and meeting with Park services, one still can not get ok on having it resurface, two they will not allow anyone to put up permenant driver stand. Which mean possibility of trailer like the LA Club or some kind of structure that has to be built every time we want to race. There are still few very few that are working on this, most of you who post i have not seen at a meeting much less showing intrest in the track except to post what's not happening in Vegas. How about post what you might be willing to do?

Anyone has any better ideas you know we're to post them, most track are not money makers. I don't know to many who do it for a living most do it because they enjoy it, especially in the on road nitro track seen.

Fellas,

What's done is done. Now is who will step up to the plate, pick up the pieces, and rebuild what you had? It doesn't necessarily have to be one person, maybe form a group/club, put together a gameplan, present it to the county officials and go from there. Rehashing what has happen opens too many old wounds and brings back too many harsh feelings. Wipe the slate clean, let the past stay in the past, and start new and fresh.
