Default help.... ntc3 front diff housing prob...

does anyone know of an aftermarket diff housing for the ntc3... or a fix on the ae factory ones... the problem is that the threads in the diff case are plastic and stripping then the screws have nothing to hold.. seems to be a common prob on the car... thanks

Get 3mm screws, they're just big bigger than the 4-40s, thats what i use to do when I had mine. Dont overtighten.

"the fix" is what you need.

http://www.rctech.net/forum/nitro-ro...nitro-tc3.html

if you do a search youll find its just screws, nuts and shims.

should be pretty cheap too.

RD Logics makes them, they do fix the problem and they don't deform underload, here's a few photos of mine. For club racing the NTC3 is still very competitive..

The chassis is a 4mm and it's not really any more weight than the stock, and theirs not much flex, the front shock tower is 5mm and the suspension mount is aluminum, no flex. The car is really fast and it holds up quite well, handles great. It "hangs" with the RRR's and all the other TC's, I honestly don't think I would be any faster with a different car, I've been using a NTC3 for 7 years, I'm use to the way it handles....all the aftermarket stuff is from RD Logics..

I thought the aluminum diff cases were a better fix than the fix, they do cost more and I didn't really like the powder coating so I sand blasted mine, and the bearings did not fit great but a little work with a dremel made everything right..I do think that RD still makes them.

The ones I have were made for the TC3, but the TC4 uses the same diff cases.
