I want to find a good tire for parking lot racing with friends ,some thing that will last a while but still give some good grip.....is foam better we have only used rubber so far.we are running NTC3,s and soon an ofna LD3.any help...

forget rubber tires..
go with jaco or xceed rc mounted foams.

how smooth of a parking lot? if it dings your pipe, then you want to use rubber tires. foam will get eaten. stick to hpi radials or something similar

well its a very smooth lot not even any cracks.It does get some fine dirt from when they cinder the roads in the winter so I might try and find a leaf blower to get some of it off.its a very nice lot and very big no cars anymore since school is out.not even any wheel bumps on most of it.so we set the mini cones out burn fuel and grin......!!!!!

is there any problem running 2 different brand foams for front and rear..

i want to run xceed foams - because they are the lightest, however the front are too weak for my liking. so is it possible to run xceed rear, and say matrix on front.

if the surface is that good, I would run foam 37 to 40 is good as mentioned above.

Each manufacturer has their own special formulation for a tire (foam curing, wheel design, wheel strength) so each will have its own characteristics which could be good or bad. some manufacturers list for example 38 shore, but it is closer to 40 or 35 by another manufacturer.

I commonly ran the Twister prolight rear tires while running the standard weight fronts (kyosho design)

ok here's another question....I'm putting together an ofna ld3 with a .18 AE motor from an MGT 3.0...!!!! now my thinking is this is going to blow rubber tires to shreds.....am I right..???hey I was just looking at the jaco nitro shoes how are they different front to back ? and what is meant buy degres ... I understand offset but not degres...is it cut at an angle...????

fronts are usually 26mm wide and rears are 30mm wide.
the lower the number the softer the tire,most run harder up front.
they also sell 44mm wide rears and 32mm wide fronts,best ticket if your body can clear them..see below..

thank you .... I like the idea of wider. so can you tell me of a body that will fit an NTC3 and be able to rum the wider wheels?..I kinda like a s street pickup...but if it has to be something else thats fine, I'm kinda new to this kind of street stuff I use to run a brushless rustler on the street but thats a totaly different deal than this...I want to try this stuff now.

I have used both rubber and foam at parking lot races. My advise is to have both on hand. If there is enough traction, the foams will perform better and be more consistant. When the track surface is dusty or just plain low traction, rubber tires are much much better. Foams on low traction asphalt is like driving on ice.
