Hi John,
I saw Adrien Bertin's Kyosho about 10 days ago it looked like the pictures you found a few month ago, with alloy parts. Unfortunately for medical reason's adrien couldn't come to this world championship.
A world class driver missing!!
So I doubt Lamberto is driving a MRX4.
At the last european championship tire treatment was also an issu.
One thing is for sure is that tire treatment will make you go faster for a couple of laps, but won't make you win a one hour race!

On that blog..
The car that could be the one from Collari seems to be a Kyosho (rear end) but the radio tray with tank and front dampers are MRX4..... The one thing I can not understand is the Novarossi engine (head) and not his own yellow/gold head.
I still find it funny and unbelieveable that such drivers should be promoting their sponsors and are driving compleetly rebuilded cars with equipment from other brands....

Thanks for pointing that out. I am not very familiar with the MRX-4 so I wasn't sure. I will correct my blog as per your comment.
Regarding what top racers run, let's not jump into any conclusions yet, it is still very early days in the event. It was only free practice up to now and today is the first day of official timing and that will only be two rounds of practice so any driver could drive anything they want if it is to assist them with better understanding of the track, the conditions or whatever else they have in mind.
I am sure from today and certainly tomorrow we will know what their real equipment is and then we can reconsider..
