I am pretty sure that all of the Japanese drivers will be attending. We have not been contacted by anyone that they will not be able to attend. In fact, Takaaki Shimo came over last week for some final testing and he was fast!

Hi Doug
Just wondering how practice will go

For open practice day 1-4 of the worlds is it going to be a free for all for those days for all 150 drivers or will you be limiting the # of drivers on the Stand/track at anyone time and will fuel bottles be allowed in the pits?

The practice heats are being sorted at the moment. There will be 15 drivers in 10 different practice heats for one round of practice. We can get in 4 rounds of practice each day if the weather permits and the drivers and pit people cooperate.

Seating is done by country, not teams. However, after a day or two it seems that the drivers work it out and switch seats to be with their team if they need to.

Jim, IFMAR will make the final decision, but it looks like each practice heat will be 10 minutes.

Jim, the driver must be present to sign in (register).

There is an IFMAR letter that all drivers must sign where they state they understand the IFMAR Rules and will abide by them. The driver or team manager will give the declared transponder number and declared legal frequency at this time as well.
