Default Synthetic oil

Hi guys, do you have any ideas where I can source good synthetic oil for mixing fuel. I am currently using Motul but MSSR, Klotz, Meccamo will do. I am in South Africa so it will have to be shipped international.

Thank you

Castrol MSSR can be found on the "Castrol Classic" website, it is a special department in the UK. Also M50 (or Racing 50), R30, R40 can be found there.
Other option is the Castrol A747 whis is an half synthetic oil.

Pure MSSR is not that good. I have runned for many years 7% MSSR and 3% M50 and did not have any bearing failure and rust.

Friends have played with Shell Racing-M which does give an exelent performance but a very dirty combustion (black piston). This stuf is very thin, makes fuel look like water and does need a delicate tuning.

Where do you get the Shell racing M from?

Shell racing-M is listed on the Shell website at the motosort department, it is a castor oil for karts and motocross. Probebly you will find it on Ebay.

I know the R40 is well used in RC plaines. I have read the documents of these oils and it was telling to use a drop of aceton to get it mixed with methanol.
