Hand Tools Opinion Anyone?
 

Hi,

Personally I use Hudy tools exclusively, but I feel they could be better. The things I'd like to see change in their tools:

1. The shafts should be stainless....In my place where humidity is in the high 90s the shaft rusts easily

2. Each tool should be marked - Now only the sockets and the hexes are marked.

3. The butt cap should be included

I wonder what you others think about Hudy tools, and maybe if there is other hand tools available please let me know. I am a tool junkie!

I'm pretty much upsetting with the quality found on Hudy tools these days. The tip, somewhat, get worn out faster than their predecessor.

Anyway, I have found Wiha Tools to be equally the same and much more economical to my wallet.

I have a couple of MIP Thorp hex wrenches. Excellent quality if you got the cash.

And I also use Dynamite tools. The handles are nicely machined from aluminum and the size is etched on the side.

i have been using 3racing tools, the problem i found with hudy some of the smaller sizes have small round handles, and you struggle with grip, for example M3 IC motor screws which need to be fairly tight, where as 3racing handles are all the same bigger size, and they have the size stamped on them:)

Depends on what kind of tools you are looking for!

Just to give you a few examples:

Ball head hex too, Hudy seems the best
Straight head hex too in 2.5, 2 and 1.5mm Integy are the best because their tip is a tad oversided, so it will not strip your hex screws!
Reamer, any brand's reamer are pretty much the same
power tools, my top pic is Milwaukee with a set of Ofna hex bit

Long nose, flat head, visegrip and such in pliers format, Snapon are the best, nothing could even come close!

Yeah MIP are one of the best you can get but need a deep pocket!
