The new D5R might have a better version on carb. But, nonetheless I see those test drivers having problem adjusting it also. The engine seems to run very well when it's really hot.

very true on the "hot temperament"

adjust the needles when engine is hot enough,... make it a bit rich when warm, so you'll get the max punch when at "STS working temp"

That was how hot those test drivers ran the engines. If it runs well, keep it that way. Keep us informed of how fast the wear on the conrod and crankshaft pin, will you?

i ran 2 seasons with that motor and at least 5 gallons of 30% fuel , took it apart after 3 gallons to inspect it and that motor it still going, i guess is how you tune it and what fuel you use in it, and of course after run oil every time after use.
