Jo,

You can look at mine anytime. The new front bulkheads and rear shocks are about the only thing needed. I always have a ton of parts so I can help you there when needed.

It is a excellent car, I use a Rex321p modified, but nay good .21 engine, and there is a selection would be fine.

Now we can travel to the same spots to race.... Las Vegas in January!

Yes--if you do, make sure you get the new shock towers too. The new rear shocks are longer and are specifically designed to go with the new rear shock tower.

Something to think about...

Just got back from the Toys for Tots race in sunny Cali...wish I was still there.

During qual: I ran the 4.5 rear blocks with 9 droop level on the hudy blocks. (basically, ran the car in stock settings)

Problems was I felt the rear of the car was too loose and I was unable to get on the power as hard as I wanted...I felt I needed more side bite. After speaking with Darin Ishitani, I decided to switch to the 5.5 rear blocks. Last round of qualifier I ran a full lap faster and the car was much easier for me to drive.

Issue: I Never reset the droop when I switched to the 5.5 blocks. After, I re-measured the droop it was almost at a 6 droop level. Knowing this was to low I adjusted the droop back to a 9 droop level for the main...(wish I had just left it alone)...although the car was good in the main, I felt the car during the last qualifier was better and my lap times indicate the same.

Conclusion: Do not be afraid to play around with the droop setting in the rear...it made a huge difference for me and may work for you as well.

H0148 / H0149
Front / Rear Bulkhead -NEW

H0772
One Piece Engine Mount

Rear Adjustable Sway-Bar - MUGH0185

H0566/ H0567
Front/Rear Damper Stay - new

H0568
Rear Damper Case Long -new

http://www.mugenseiki.com/menueefi.htm go there and check out there new products for the mrx-4. The items listed above are probably the major upgrades along with the shock/ tower. Everything else they have for the car is minor and extra.

Kewl parts. I may be interested in buying the one piece engine mount. For now I'm running the Mugen box stock and doing some tuning to it. Anyone know where I can find that front tensioner...think I heard of it somewhere here.

Dont know where you can get a front tensioner, but i know that the new front bulk heads will give the front axle lower center of gravity and a tighter tension.

The new front bulkhead is also accentric so you can adjust the tension on the front belt. You dont need a front belt tensioner, or mid block tensioner.

Sounds good. I'll ask if the LHS has em in stock and if not I'll order em.

Jo, anytime.

Speaking of Vegas, Mike Swauger and the other Mugen Guys may be planning to be at the Winter Wind Up Race at the Silverbowl next month so that would be a good time for us to help you set the car up and get it going.... Hope to see you there.

You're right - ocho ocho na !
