That depends. For everyone it's not easier to drive and naturally in some cases it can be more $$. However for the price of nitro sedan isn't far behind. Without a dialed in setup, 8th surely won't be easier to dial if you're sliding around.

I probably wont make it this friday. I have family visiting from SD. I may race on Sunday though, if they're still doing club races. I haven't raced in a long time. I've been itching to get out there.

Default Engine for MRX-4

I have been racing my RC10GT for several years now and I finally got an MRX-4. I do not want to spend a lot of money for an engine (for now) and I have been thinking on getting either of the following:

1. Novamega Evo5 (stock version) - I know that this engine was discontinued but a friend is selling a brand new engine at a good price.

2. OS .21 VZ-R Turbo II

Any advice on which of these engines I should buy? Also, which engine is more reliable, more durable and has more power?

Any suggestions/comments will be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

I own a NovaMega Evo 5 and based from my personal experiences with this engine i would have to say its a good engine all around. It definately doesnt lack power and it is reliable. As far as that OS engine goes i dont know to much about it ,however i do know that OS as a pretty good reputation with there engines being very reliable.

I don't know why this is the case but testing on the track confirms what Mike said. I am just guess but perhaps it has to do with the relative position of roll center and center of gravity? If someone know the reason please share. Thanks.
I agree with you Jeff. I test it on my mtx3. First, I drive with only 1 shim, and two shims is feeling better, but three shims is absolutely fantastic. The side bite grip is increasing as you increase the shims. I settled with only two shims though.... I haven't try 4 shims yet, maybe it's not good idea.

Default new shock towers for mrx4

Any ideas what the new shock towers will do for the MRX4? They're on the Mugen Japan site under new products.

I just got them and I havn't had a chance to compare them but it looks like the new rear shock tower allow you to use the new longer body rear shocks by bringing in the shock mounting points inward. The front shock tower seems a bit lower than the original one.

Along with the new shock towers they have new front and rear bulkheads, and a

yellow clutch shoe as well. Anyone know any further details on these new items?
