I am looking to use JR servos and am currently using the JR servos DS8455 for steering and DS8425 for throttle in my mtx3. I am very happy with the performance of the servos and was wondering if they would be suitable for use in the mxr4? Im only starting out in 1/8th so absoloute performance isnt really an issue yet. Im just after a pair of JR servos that will do the job reliably.

Thanks.
I never used JR Servo but SANWA WRX for Steering , VB for Throttle might be a good combination

Default 3 Good TC Tracks

We have three good TC sized tracks. The best one is Royal Palm Raceway in Miami. It is a pretty large track in comparison to the other tracks in the area, with nicely done curbs. Unfortunately, the layout is not too good for 1/8 size cars: the layout is not "flowing" enough. But it's great for 1/10 TC cars. Then there are two much smaller tracks in the Ft. Lauderdale area: Oakland Park Speedway and Coral Springs Road Runners. When your'e in the area stop by the store I work at (Warrick Custom Hobbies) sometime and say hello.

Here are the websites for our three local tracks:

You might also want to take part in our very competitve Florida State Series while you are here. Here's their website:

Thanks for the info. I am leaning towards getting a 1/8th scale on-road. I looked at the Florida State series website. On Oct. 9th and 10th they will be in Naples which is where I will be staying. Any idea what track that will be?

Man, you guys are lucky having permanent tracks like that in your area. I was hoping that the Oakland track was located in Oakland California .

Ed, where is your shop at? I just found out I will be staying very close to the Naples track. Unfortunately, I won't be there until the end of Oct. so I will miss the race on the 9th and 10th of oct.

Default Stock Set-Up

Ran my car for the first time this weekend at the track in Naples Florida. I love this car! Qualified second in A-main, but unfortunately crashed out due to driver error. Seems I hadn't shaken off the last bit of rust-I haven't driven a 1/8 car in a couple of years.

By the way, has anyone tried the shorter wheelbase on any shorter or tighter tracks?
