Hi GT4 , the car is awesome ! How big is your track ? Do you need to change the gears that come with the kit ?

Hi howard, i haven't actually ran the car yet, but i will tmrw! I am going to start out with a change of my 2nd gear pinion to 21T from the stock 20T for tmrw's run

Previously for my MRX-3, i had to changed my 2nd gear pinion from 20T to 21T because of our extremely long straight. Even before the long straight, there is this huge sweeper which we full throttle through. I think for this track you can say we are holding full throttle for a good 6-7 secs....

Here's a pic of our track

I wonder if my front wide belt conversion will swap right over to the new car.

It should. It uses the same pullies as the 3. The rear pulley has the same number of teeth, but is shorter in length because of the new rear bulkhead design.

the rear pully can be cut down to fit on the MRX-4. That is if you are keen to reuse them.

The whole kit goes together pretty well. Same as the first batch of MRX-3 some metal bits are not as precise as it could be. On the MRX-3, the main shaft is a fraction too big. On the MRX-4, all the outdrives are a fraction too big as well... Out of 2 MRX-4 kit, both has to be sand down a bit to slide the bearing in.

The machined brake disc is a bit too thick as well. You will need to bend the two pins on the chassis to fix that. Otherwise purchase the ultra cool Serpent disc. They are half a mm thinner.

Front roll centre adjustment question for Mike.

By adding shim to the front arm mount I would get better traction to the front. Is that correct? It lower the front roll centre right?

Thanks!

That is correct. Putting more shims under the arm will give you more steering.
