Default June 5th, looking for racers

anybody ever wanted to try their hand at racing at high speeds? On june 5th, at Sugar Hill, GA they are calling out all nitro touring cars to run the oval! They say the rules are simple. any non-turbo head .12 or .15 and rubber tires (no foams, said that it is a concrete banked track ) and nascar style bodies. from what I am told, they say pancar bodies work on touring cars. Last year "INSIDE R/C" did a show on this and wanted to know if anybody would be attending or if I am waisting my time.

Like Stefan said, we have one of the best on road permanent tracks in the country, long straights tight twisties, and asphalt that's as smooth as a baby's bottom. Why run oval. The track has tamed some of the best, Barry Baker said it is a great nitro track. I say come out and do some real racing. Try turning right half the time, you will like it.

Oval is super COOL. Just like Formula cars on their road coarse and Indy cars on the oval. Different kicks for different folks.

just to do something different? I do know it is an awsome track, raced it myself and loved it. they are just running the touring cars on the oval that weekend. I kind of Like the idea of running the car at 40+mph for a few hundred laps. If we can make a car turn left and right, I am sure we can show these pan car drivers that we can go strait and turn left too!

Every year here in Puerto Rico we run a main event named the Millenium Hour,, in this particular track ,, here you probe how good your car is and your engine and the most important thing your consistency in this particular track,, in my opinion is really exciting to run an oval , you push your car and your engine to the limits

That looks cool! I would like to know when this happens. It isn't that far for me to go and I would like to try it!

The pictures don't do the on road track justice, but here it is along with the oval.
