I just bought one from a friend. It's a nice car. Materials and finish are as good as anything out today. I haven't driven it yet though, still need a motor. I hear it handles awesome though, just like an 1/8th scale.

Default Old Car

It's a 235mm car........
No one runs that class anymore and are on the market for sale by owners finding that out for themselves.

Default 1/10 235 MM Thread

Nitropimp,

There's a thread about these cars at:

http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...threadid=26600

Some of us in So-Cal still try to run these cars.
My K2X Avance is a keeper for me. Its the closest thing I can get to running 1/8th. Aside from the power difference, it pretty much moves and reacts like the 1/8th car. Its just a fun and easy car to drive.

I think there is a class for it in the up-coming Nationals that will
be held in Santa Clara.

And I heard the class is picking up in Europe.

235mm goes in cycles. One minute it is really popular then it dies off. Just this year in Ireland we have seen a huge increase in 235mm cars on the track.

A lot of the electric touring guys started in 200mm over the past couple years and they are so hooked they moved on up to 235mm aswell and some are even running 1:8th too.

While it is not recognised currently by IFMAR it will most likely grow again in the near future and raise enough interest to be a WC class once more. Just need the guys to buy and run the cars.

not so sure about the 835 being a 2WD (could be an option), but the ones i've seen are 4WD.

Anyways, 235mm is a lot of fun. A 2wd 235mm (or any other car for that matter) will go much faster in a straight line, but the handling is tricky.

Hi Nitropimp,

The 835s are 4WD cars.
The previous model to that which is the Serpent IMPACT has both 2WD and 4WD models.

The 835 is an upgrade to the Impact. Like the Impact, the 835 comes in 2WD and 4WD. Just there is no demand at the moment for 2WD.

Ooopps, I stand corrected on that.
Thanks InitialD for pointing it out.

Hopefully the demand for these cars will be back soon.

Post K2X Avance

This car is a really good car. Too bad I sold mine although I think if this class starts picking up again I wouldn't hesitate on getting one again. I'm sure you will enjoy running this car it's a sweet car. Handling, speed, & looks like a mini 1/8th scale.
