Anyone know if the .12 and .15 force/ofna engine piston and liner sets are interchangeable?, if it is, I can get away with just dropping an extra $50 (Au) to downside my engine to make it class legal...

Thanks Nightmare, looks like it's possible, although depending on what comes with a piston/liner kit, I may need a .12 button, head shim, and piston pin.

Has anyone else noticed that the slide carb has been revised?, the one on my CD3 has a relocated idle adjustment screw on the same face as the low speed mixture screw, and now features a lower recessed oring on the carb body to improve sealing.

Looks like it's no longer an issue, the club is looking to lift the capacity restriction, but still stick to the .8HP limit, and the Force 15 only makes like .7HP, so it's not an issue anymore.
All that worry over nothing, now I can go back to figuring out all the functions on my 3PM...

yeah,

I qualified 16th overall (had some terrible qual sessions), but I had a great start in the B-Main(40 minutes) took 1st after the 1st lap and never looked back. Towards the end it didn't count a lap so I ended w/ a 2nd (but everyone said it was a 1st - no biggie though) All I wanted to accomplish was to make it to the A-Main this past weekend...(and I did!)

In the A, I actually ended up in 11th position ( a "DQ" happened to the "winner" of the "B") anyways, as racing goes, people broke, my partner broke who actually was fighting for 1st w/ Darin was taken out (Steven Jackson) after 125 laps, and I ended in 2nd!!!!

I'll take it with a smile & run!!!!

lookin forward to the next big race comin up!

Thanks!

Ghoppa

Nice to see a CD3 getting such a great result, what was he racing against, car wise?

Took some snaps of my CD3 last night after I had finished cutting some necessary holes, these pre painted Hong Nor shells are not half bad really...

Yeah, it's not real deep, and has a minor tilt backwards as well, kind of strange, I'll see how it goes but maybe some angled spacers would fix that.

I'm hanging out for pay day this week to order some general pit and starting gear, then I will actually be able to get out there and finally race it, or at least just test and set it up for some racing.

Also I was checking out your tracks website Nightmare, I had not realised you had that 2 speed vs single speed rules for your sports class, rather clever I thought, does it work well in practise?

You could always put a different wing on if its a problem.

The sports class works very well. As you read it's limited to Pullstart engines but after market engines (Ie Nova, OS TR, Fantom) limited to single speed while kit engines (ie force .12) are allowed 2 speed.

It's great watching a Nova CX12 and a force .12 do battle and allows you to be competive without forking out $$$ for a fancy engine. Just turn up with a 2 speed kit car and your off
