Haha...you mean you are so use to having to cut the excessive flash off the AE moldings, file down Serpent A arms to fit and tolerate the slop in Mugen A arms that not having to do much on the HN/OFNA is simply not the same quality??? true...true...

Not so much a problem. the M2x6 screws that hold the diff together have a tendency to back out and may strip the gear. I had this happen to me recently. Replaced the gears and used M2x8 screws from Tamiya. No problems since

Default 2nd and 5th at O'Donnell Race at Revelation

The car is a real performer. Team drivers Darin Ishitani (2nd qualifier, 5th overall, ex-Associated), and Jeffrey Lin (10th qualifier, 2nd overall) did well with the new CD3 at the O'Donnell Championships at Revelation here in So. Cal. a few weeks ago. Darin and Barry Baker battled back and forth for the first 15 minutes until Darin flamed out. Jeffrey didn't qualify that well but certainly had his game going in the main, finishing second only to Barry. To me Jeff's car was the fastest of all the cars down the back straight in the A. The redistribution of weight and the ability to use more conventional pipes in conjunction with shaft drive, make this car Ofna's most potent weapon yet.

Regarding the diff "problem" that was mentioned above, Ofna is also working on some top secret projects as we speak. Ofna is definitely stepping up there on-road program (as evidenced by the signing of Mr. Ishitani) and I think you can expect a lot of good things to happen in the future as a result. Stay tuned...

When I built my Champ I put a dab of shoe goo over the head of each of the diff screws...HPI Savages were having a similar issue with the diff screws backing out so I did that trick to my truck and have not had them back out on me again after more than 2 gallons of ground pounding fun

I was thinking of getting FW-05R but the price was out of my range.
can this car replace the FW-05R in terms of handling and Quality?

Check out this quicktime video of Barry Baker at the O'Donnell race, courtesy Team Associated. The car in front of him is Darin with the CD3. I think you have to download to your computer as a zip file first, then open it.
