Thanks kevink2!

I can't wait to get the conversion kit!

Any pointers for when I get the kit, that I should know about?

Thanks

The conversion is pretty straight forward...It shouldn't take you to long to do.

Does the CD3 Pro accept 6 cell flat packs? Just looking at the photos on the OFNA site and there does not seem enough room..

In it's stock form it's made to use the 5 AAA-sized batts stacked 3 on 2. However I bet it's possible to get the larger packs in by modification. I like the larger packs too.

I thought most receiver packs were 5 cell anyway. I have a 5 cell flat pack and a 6 cell flat pack (for my M18), but I thought more than 6v is bad for the receiver

lol, sorry I ment flat 5 Cell (6 Volt). The ones that just fit in the LD3 battery box, don't look like they will even come close to fitting the CD3...

The battery holder on the CD3 is designed to use the same battery as the MTX-3.

Hi C Verano

I have the same question.

I'm converting my LD3 to CD3, what battery to use and how does it stay put on the CD3 (wire ties)?

Maybe you might have a picture?

Thanks!

The Cd3 uses a 5cell aaa battery like the one used in the MTX3. The battery mounts under the radio tray with a mount shaped just like the battery. No zip ties needed.
