That is the CTS-V which is running strong in the SCCA/Speed World Challenge GT class with full factory support for pilots Andy Pilgrim and Max Angelelli

Hellion, you're killing me..tell us already! LOL

It wouldn't be the Pontiac Gran Prix, would it? Or perhaps the Chevy Monte Carlo?

If so, are they ROAR approved? I thought it had to be a touring car body, i.e., a 4dr sedan?

Keep up the good work and tell us how to get your "aero" bod. Even if not aproved, I may just have to have one for concours!

I do believe the new rule for 2004 on the rear of the body states that the car would be put on 20mm blocks (under the chassis) then the rear cut out will be measured to 55mm from that point, this is also the way they will measure the roof height now. The 55mm measurement may be wrong, but they do measure from a 20mm block now.

At the Reg.4 race at Full Throttle, I had left my body longer than usual, knowing this new rule, and on a Stratus 2.1 I had left the entire rear body line, cutting it just below the line. It was only that part under the line that made the car legal. All this does depend on where you hace your body mounted, 'cause the roof height counts, too.

Hellion, i like the body on the car that you have doing the burnout and you can see the smoke coming out the back, i think the color of the car is green. When are you going to be selling that?

Default I SAW WHAT SURIKARN DID LAST 2001

i was watching this DVD which i bought from www.raywoodrcvideos.com . it was an EP race in Jakarta... REEDY RACE 2001 JAKARTA EP RACE.

Surikarn takes ALL.

and i saw what he did to his car body... ONLY HIM.... nobody else did that....

take a look at the picture.

QUESTION:

1) WHAT IS THE EFFECT to your handling if you do like that?

2) CAN IT ONLY APPLIES to NITRO cars also?

thanks for the answers (if you have any)....

We have been using this system for a couple of years now in various forms. It effectively adds ground effects to the car to give better downforce and grip on the surface. Really effective and totally legal.

that is VERY INTERESTING TO KNOW this kind of LITTLE MOD to your body will effect the handling.

But what do you mean 'IN VARIOUS FORM' in your reply. Can you ellaborate more on that matter? it is much much better if you could give some samples pictures on how many 'VARIOUS FORM' you can do with the idea....

and what are the DETAIL/FINER things we need to consider if we want to do the same thing to our bodies?

thank you!!!

wow!

I dont have any pictures I could share. For some reason I can never keep shells in tact long enough to shoot pics of them . Must get one of those special jump out of the road of other out of control car devices to try preserve my shells .

Anyway, what I meant was that we tried different techniques to produce these end bits. They are really only a recent thing on the shells and before this we would just leave a section of the shell uncut and use a heat gun and a little block to mould them to different shapes and sizes to experiment. What is shown on Surikan's shell seems to be the most effective.

We tried everything from curving the tip inwards to create channels and outwards to create extra downforce wings.
