Check out the small Ofna starter box. I use them for my RRRs, and they are great, compact, lightweight, and will spin over even my new 12+3 modified engines. They are cheaper than these other ones, and work just as good if not better.
You can contact Sam at Kamikaze Toys and hobbies, as he carries them.
How is the car set up coming along now

Much lighter, will spin any engine you have, and easy to carry around. I have two of them and have not had one issue with either one

is it ok to use in the starter box? or is it better to use 2 matching packs?

As long as both have the same capacity.

I'll second that. I have the JLR box and love it. It's much easier to carry, pack, and use than the other two full size boxes I have. The only thing I'd improve is making it easier to access the batteries for recharging. I just did away with the bottom cover on mine.
