Default Who does good engine mods?

Im looking to get a OS .18tz for my tc3 and am wondering who does a good job modifying the engine?

Or is it even a noticable difference when its modified?

thanks

Default Engine mod

If you are going to install the OSTZ in that car, you wont need a modified engine.
Chances are you will blow your diff gears any way with the stock 18
Those cars are not known for having the strongest diff gears.

If your looking for a good moddler.
Give Mark a call at Powerhouse RC Performance. But I don't think your drivetrain can stand the pressure.

Pass you soon...

Yeah I agree with everyone else. I used to have a NTC3 and like I said on the other post I would stick with a .12 your gonna be able to blow the doors off your buddy with the Traxxas and GT2. But if you are dead set on running a .18 then just get a stock one. The gears in the NTC3 are not that strong and your gonna spend more time rebuilding diffs just for some parking lot bashing. But if you really want a modded motor then go to Rb mods. I have had a few Rb modded os tz motors and they screamed.

Good Luck

+1

I remember the NTC3 having pretty weak plastic beveled gears, the stock RTR motor cobbed them pretty easily.

you can swap the associated parts to ofna metal gear diffs. I dont remember the car, maybe it was an LD3

If you are going to go with a modified .18tz then you will need to transplant the diffs from a OFNA LD-3 to your associated, the diff are steel and can handle the increase in hp. Here is a picture

and yes its a big noticeable difference but u better beef up the drivetrain because it seems like everybody starts off with a ntc3 and the problem is the drivetrain
