Default 200mm 1/10th Scale Bodies

Since there are so many different (and new) 200mm 1/10th scale bodies at this moment, I thought it would be nice to make a thread so people could compare the characteristics between bodies.

Here are the ones I have off the top of my head:

Protoform Stratus 3.1

Protoform R5-N

Blitz Altis 2.3

Blitz Audi RS4

Blitz ISF 2.0

Xceed Audi A5

Xceed Chevy Cruzer

Xceed East Civic

Xceed Stratus

Edam Evo-X Style

Central BMW M3

For me, I have usually went with the Stratus 3.1. It gives me the most stability I need for my driving style. I have also tried the Xceed Audi A5 and it gave me almost the same stability as the Stratus, but with a little more steering.

I have also tried the Blitz Altis 2.3 body, but have found to have too much steering and not enough stability for my taste. I will probably do a few more tests with it to see what I can accomplish.

I have the Audi RS4 on its way, and I'll let ya know how it performs.

Don't forget about:

East Civic

BTW ... IMO that's the best paint job by far ...

I actually prefer this body. Loads of steering, and stable on the straight!!

i was under the impression that "touring" bodies were based on sedans. what happened? i've been out of the game for a few years.

Well guys, I was able to track test the Blitz Audi RS4.

I did back and forth comparisons between the Blitz Audi RS4 and the Protoform Stratus and I really liked the Audi more. It was much more stable on power exiting corners. And it really had alot more steering all-around. Which in my track is a must since there is alot of U turns and rapid changes in directions.

Also, the body was more stable at the sweeper after the straight. All these tests were done with the wing in the middle position. I will make some testing with different wing positions.

Sorry c1, I didnt want to leave any body behind. I actually used alot of the Civic body on my Serpent 720 when I raced it. It has tons of steering but it felt like too nervous for my taste. I still have one laying around, I may be give it a one-color paint job and give it a try.

The only thing I dont like about Xceed bodies are their cost. Street cost of a Xceed body for me is usually around $30-$32. Whereas the Blitz are almost $18-$20 and Protoform is near there too.

Tomorrow I will give the R5-N a chance, and the stratus again just to be sure.

Added the Xceed Stratus. I already saw it on sale on RC-Mushroom a few days before RedRC announced it. Didn't pay attention because I thought it was a typo.

I've been out of the touring scene for a while however I do like the Stratus body myself. All around was my favorite body for touring car. I'll try the Xceed A5 when I get a new tourer later on.
