IFMAR Pre-Worlds -- Video
 

I spent the weekend in Houston talking to the people there that run the track and shooting some excellent video. Awesome racing. I was amazed at how they can go error free for an hour and do it pedal to the metal. Awesome thing to see in person close up. I have plenty of footage just haven't decided on what to put up. The Main is an hour. A bit too long to put on the CDN it would eat my bandwidth up big time. Maybe I'll stream the whole thing or set it up for download. Make it parts. Its too good to waste that is for sure. Everywhere you pointed the camera was good. Cars at the limit and just above. Anyways I could talk about it for days but here is the first cut from the tapes. Its an overview with a few of the first laps of the Main along with other footage from Sat and Sun. Mostly Sat. I'll be working with the rest during the week so check back.

Also good to hear those high revving nitro engines again, last time I ran mine was back in September.

The video stream is plain vanilla Flash. If you have the latest adobe flash plug-in you are set. I've tested it with Firefox IE Opera Safari and Chrome. There is a page at the adobe site that will test your set-up and tell you if you need to upgrade. Also I'm uploading the hi-qual mp4 to my site. You'll be able to download that if you like.

I'm thinking of doing the whole main. Just cutting out any screw ups etc. If I cut it into parts some people will only do the first couple of them so the bandwidth I have bought won't be impacted that much. That is only 2 tapes of the four. Sure wish I had gotten there in time to get more 1/8 scale action. I had a great time talked to some friendly fellow race addicts. I sure hope I can do it again in Aug.

Guys Griz has been making RC videos for quite a while and does excellent work. I haven't even watched the video yet and I already know it will be killer!

I'm getting a blocked notice...saying WMG has copyright grounds...whoever/whatever that is.
