Your reply is what i was thinking. I started this thread, because i was wondering about the availability of wheels for my Serpent. I would love to have a 966, I would love to race again; but, that is not in the cards for me at this point. I live 450 miles from the nearest track (that i know of), have a 9 year old and a 3 year old and don't have the time to dedicate to racing. Do i need a world class car to go run a little in a church parking lot? Nope. Again, i would love to have a 966, if for nothing else but to enjoy building it like i am currently enjoying building a 733.

So, let's not get into a pissing match. All that is going to happen is we are all going to be irritated.

Scott...I will send over pics tomorrow. By all mean, I don't need to sell those parts cause I really don't have time to go thru my RC stuff but somehow I saw this thread and I am sure you (and other, I have another PM) might find this options parts usefull cause there are not too many around even on ebay.

In a perfect would...who would NOT want a 966....like you, I have a 6 years old and 6 months old, full time job, wife, new house, broken real car that need to fix....then 1.5 hours to drive to the nearest 1/8th on road track is something I can only do when I was 25...when I can go racing, I have no time to practice and I just jump up to the stand and race. Thats why I prefer electric at this moment....

If I can dedicate for more racing, I would probably get two 966..1 for race and 1 for parts. Who wouldn't....?

950R is defintiely good enough if that is the car you already have...if you are planning to buy another one, you must buy the LATEST and GREATEST...because anything else, is simply the same as your 950R. You can use that car to any club racing and still be good...I really don't see these foams are going to disappear anytime soon. When the time they are really discontinued...i have a feeling you and I already quit RC.

They should have a racing class for those of us who don't have the time to race anymore...maybe call it the geezers class?

Hong Kong...but those are some very good price for 1/8th tires, I might go pick up several sets to offset the shipping.
