Default NTC3 gearing options

I want to know will the OFNA .8 gearing pinions fit on a stock NTC3 clutch bell? And will they work with stock spur gears?

Thanks,
Mark

No, the Ofna / HongNor pinions does not fit an std NTC3 clutch. You'll need their M0.8 centax + the LD3 M.08 clutch bell and LD3 M0.8 2-speed one-way adapter to be able to use their M.08 system.

Overall what Niklas Edlund told us is....NTC3 gearing is not really 0.8 gearing, it is something in between 1.0 and 0.8 like those from Mugen, LD3 or Serpent spec..
LD3 pinion has its own thread, which will match the LD3 power clutch or mugen or Yokomo or someone said even the Kyosho one...it will not fit on the regular 2 shoes clutch (I asked him the exact same question several days ago).....you have to have the whole centax system along with the 0.8 2-speed in order to complete the whole mod.

Overall, I dropped the whole idea of the 0.8 mod....too much to get and too much to spend.

Actually I think you still need to use the AE 2-speed shoes and axle... But I agree its a major upgrade for quite small advantage... I think.
