macrous99, I think a DM-1 Spec or Pro would be a
great car for you. You can buy either in RTR or roller
configuration. Check out the DM-1 thread here in the
On-Road Nitro forums. Also ckeck out some vids of it on
Youtube. I have had more fun and less problems with
my DM-1 Pro and DM-1 Spec than any on-road car I
have ever owned.
Also a word of caution, I would not recommend buying
either of the Koyosho GT-1 or GT-2 cars. I am not bashing
them. I have seen many of them have problems with the
stock engines, clutches and blown 2-speed spur gears.
Many will argue that there is a fix for the Koyosho 2-speed,
but at the cost of $150. Just not worth it in my book.

He's not going to race. If I was getting a nitro car for fun I think the specs sound like it would be fun but that's just the specs.
