Yes Ralph the engine was a bit hotter, but added the 1 piece mount and it ran 5 deg cel above average, after a full race distance it was pretty ok.
Like
Carbon has 0 tweak. A lot more grip on low tracking track(even in wet) it was outright easier to drive.
Withstand heavy crash and no deformity. Till now the chassis plate has 0 tweak.
Dislike
Engine ran hotter (25% nitro)
Carbon seems to unwind the screw at the bottom( have to retighten the screw after every heat) It got slight loose on the heats and race.
Need to add weight at back and centre to get the required weight.

Ran the mrx5 all week at the pre worlds in Miami with all the stock parts Car worked really good. I think the only optioni would like is to lighten the stock axles a little Also I'm using a protek lipo and Im goin to add some weights (stick on) to the stock radio tray and possibly remove thechassis weights.Other than that. I m reall happy with this car

Hi there,

does anybody know if I can run the same gearing on the "5" as on the "4" for a given track?

Example: Ran the "4" last year on a specific track with 20/46 on 2nd gear - this year I will bring the "5". Can I use the same gearing?

Thanks and best regards, Stefan

The on-road racing world is in for quite a shock - it's about to learn that Mike Swauger will no longer be running for Mugen.

Best wishes to both Mike and to Mugen. The on-road cars have been very good, and Mikey knows how to get the most out of them! It's been great to have been able to photograph Mikey during much of that time.

I heard about it a few days ago. It's not a joke. Mike is a smart dude! He wouldn't go anywhere that was not better. I heard where he went but I won't put it out there.

I know Mike S was great for Mugen, but no reason to get rid of all your Mugen cars. I am sure the team will still do well, as all of them do.
