Yes, it holds the lower hinge pins. The Shepherd is the same way. It's great, just four bolts to change the roll center. Makes life a LOT easier.

I see that there are no C/F plates on the hubs in these new photos.

Don't tell me that they are going to be an option.

6 engine mount screws?

Maybe an optional engine mount to come?

It makes sense. Other manufactures use a side plate system, well we will use a longer engine mount.

I'm looking forward to it arriving. Watch out Patto...

by the time you get it, build it, run in that motor, and actually get down to run it, im sure there would be an update or 3. and when you do get down, im sure it will rain as well, seems to follow you around. so for the moment, im not watching out, but Shucks, nice to know your thinking about me and my Serpent

Although I'm a Serpent fan, I do know that Mugen is not really know for having regular updates...
Off course it will al depend on how competitive the car will be....

its more a personal kinda joke. my 966 remains unchanged for over a year now. some things have come out, but im happy with what i have. but its more like teething problems, every car gets them. im in no way having ago at Mugen, i have respect for the brand, its what got me into 8th scale, but i love my 966

You can use all your Serpent clutches, you only need the mugen clutchbell and gears. No argument there Beside that, a clutch will cost you 50 euro's.

The MRX4 platform was a very good platform and up until now still competive but awefull and boring for all those fans who want to buy all new stuff.

Hmm, never looked at it, but you might be right, let me get me a Mugen clutch bell, and I can have a look....

That's what I meant, The 4 was/is indeed a good car, and therefor didn't need regular updates... Look at the S966, already 2 years now on the market (a lot for an S) without any real updates. If the MRX5 is a real step forward again (is this possible?) Mugen can sit back and enjoy the years coming....

Many have driven it until Mugen did came with a 3-shoe clutch, no need to try out. Only the flywheel is a bit off-center but normally that is no problem.

And I can tell you the pins in the flywheel from Mugen are different compared with Serpent and so to fit some parts from the other brand you have to modify a tiny bit.

At this point the only thing that is done is the plastic. Keep in mind that anything your looking at can change with a couple key strokes to the key board on the cnc machine. So will have to wait and see what they decide on, both materials and design....
