I have only used the optional Mugen rubber belts. Keep in mind these are qualifying belts and not intended for hours of use. They do free the car up.
I am wondering with what tire diameter are you setting up your mrx5??

The 5 as well as the 4 and the 3 have always produced the quickest lap times when the rears are around 73mm. FORGASS runs 7 minute qualifiers plus a three minute warm up. So from the first lap on the track till the end of the main I record my tyre wear and cut accordingly so that half way thru my tyres should be close to 73. Split stays at 7.5mm so I'm just under a 1to1 drive ratio. The 5 has really surprised me at maintaining a split.

Hi guys I'm looking for a 198mm RPP3 belt for my pan car. Can anyone tell me if the mugen mrx5 belt is 198? Accordingly to the 3mm pitch, the belt should be 66 teeth; is this the case?
Thank you very much.

AHHH HAAA!
Brand new track that I have never ran I'll set the car up on 76/68.5, rear ride hieght at 7mm front ride hieght at 6mm. Run the car 5 minutes at a time then rotate tires. When the chassis starts to drag stop running and measure the tyres diameter. Use this and the above info to figure ride hieght for the qualies and the main based off of tyre wear. I like to leave an extra millimeter of ride hieght in the car for the main if I can. Its really nice to be the guy with rubber to spare at the end of a race. Remember two milimeters of tyre diameter is only one milimeter of ride hieght.

Thanks guys for the info ..unfortunately in Greece this category is due to eliminate so I do not have records from real race only practice... most of the times in dirt enviroment without timer..
