I have been running my mrx5 almost two years now and I didn't faced any problems with the side belt...
Please do not make your life difficult...mrx5 is an awesome car it doesn't need any modifications out of the box...just go to the track and have fun.

Questions?? Front Anti-Roll Blades?

Is this a good way to set front anti-roll blades?

1. Set angle of the blades with the ball & cup fully mated .
2. Then press front of chassis to the set-up board 2-3times (create a gap inside).
3. Tighten anti-roll blade screws.

This is how I built it from the first time I got the car.
Is this right or am I building it wrong?

Yes, actually your proposed technic number 2 is not enough to create gap inside the stabiliser. You have to press front lower suspension arms all the way up. And check for clicking sound after that.

I'm not 100% sure but it looks identical to the Arrow max pulleys I have on mine.

I would like to improve the reliability of the drivetrain in my mrx5. A couple questions.
I have seen the following belts
Tough racing
Zeppin
Team Titan
Dnm - all of those mbl I think
Arrowmax - bando
EBay special - bando sts
And some one mentioned a custom gate htd belt set

Has anybody tried these belts and can compare their longevity to the stock belts?

And how about pulleys? The alloy sets from cap, arrowmax, Titan? Or does anybody make some from delrin or kevlar material? Perhaps the pulleys for the Capricorn or shepherd can be fitted?

Thanks.

I have ran the CSO and am currently using the Arrow max. Quality is identical, weight is the same (same weight as the original pulley set) pricing is similar (i think?).
I have only used the optional Mugen rubber belts. Keep in mind these are qualifying belts and not intended for hours of use. They do free the car up.
