I know next to nothing about using "Twitter", but it was suggested that I set up a Twitter account, and use that along with posting reports. If things work the way I've been told they do, anyone who follows "StartingGridRC" will be able to get those short reports, either on their computer or on a mobile phone.

I set things up at my end, so anyone who adds that as a Twitter account to follow should get all the quick updates, even if they're not at their computer.

This will be the first time I've tried this, so if anyone has any advice on how to do it better, please send an email to "webmaster @ sgrid.com".

The only thing that will be needed to make this work perfectly, is somewhere at the track where I'll have access to Wi-Fi.

Mike,

The mall recently installed a WiFi network in the food court. I was told the entire mall will setup eventually.

See you soon!

If that doesn't work I'm doing my best to have a mobile wifi spot there. Do you know if that part of Toledo has Sprint 4g yet? What is the exact zip code of the track?

Default Places to Eat

A really great place in the Toledo, Perrysburg, and Maumee area to eat when you're at the GLC.

Right down on the Maumee River in Toledo. Nice patio, great seafood.

Default And now for something completely different........

Just in case you get tired of RC racing there's always a little 'Pinks' in store for you.

About 1:45 hrs east of the track on I-80

Yes, the Mall zip code is 43619.

Not sure about live RC, but we can put our best man on it.

As far as eats goes. The question is will we be seeing Big Jeff? If so, you can plan to bring at least 38 sided of ribs. If Big Jeff is coming we can probably get a couple more guys from Iowa to come out and race.

Life has been pretty busy for me this year getting married, and my now 9month old son. One of my RC Cars is in my sons bedroom, and every night he stairs at it and wants to touch it before going to bed. Man I hope he grows up and likes my hobby!! I sure miss racing.... Hopefully I will get down there to practice afew weekends and race the GLC.

Hey man, I hope you can make it. Your son will like doing it with you if you make it fun for him and have some laughs along the way. I sure do enjoy racing with mine.

Hi Jeff. I plan on making it. Maybe one day if he is interested in it, and wants to try it I'll do my best to make it fun for him and let him go at his own speed. You and your daughters are exactly what is really great for our hobby! It's nice to see families involved in a hobby where everyone is having fun! Hey.....there really good racers too!
