I shimmed it and left enough clearance.

I've written some manuals regarding the shocks, clutch and general tips.

In the future all of this will be posted and updated regularly on dsmotorsport.nl but the development of the site is taking a bit longer then expected (a lot of new projects) so I will post them here in the meantime.

Shocks:

Clutch:

Tips:

Those tips are great, that kind of info can save hours of sorting issues with minor problems. We're not as experienced as most of you guys, but we have learnt that it also helps to slightly deepen the countersink to the bolt holes of the brass battery plate. Having the bolt heads below flush could save having to Dremel a slot in bolt heads, if the car should happen to scrape.

On another note; we ran the LAB EO1/SQ engine yesterday at a club meet for the first time, and it is the fastest engine that we have had in a car so far; seriously fast with good fuel economy! We also have a LAB EO1/BC to run in an event soon, and that engine could be even faster! Like I said; we're not as experienced as most of you guys, but the Nova based Capricorn engines are the best that we have ever used in a car. We also have a Sirio based Capricorn; but it seems to be lacking, and I wouldn't go that way again.

Kindest regards,
Lars.

The EC edition has the following upgrades over the 2010 version:

-Kevlar pulleys
-Longlife belts
-Plastis bumper and engine brace
-HLD coated aluminium diff gear pins
-Front wire anti rollbar as standard
-Red springs (softer)

Thanks, trying to give you guys the best support possible.

The E01-BC engine is ridiculously fast, faster then most if not all other engines.
I do recommend using a longer pressure line with that engine, it blows out a lot of pressure into the tank which could make the engine a bit harder to tune. I also use an exhaust gas cooler.
(Don't mind the dirt, just finished a race)

Many thanks for that tip; it's what we usually do. But now that you mention it; we'll make sure that we always keep a spare exhaust gas cooler from now on. Ive seen one lost in crash once, and no-one on the track could find it.

Kindest regards,
Lars.

The LAB-C01 took a 1,2 at our first club race last weekend.
Both cars were looking very good at the track and running strong.

Also the entire podium was running Capricorn Hardlight tires and 1 and 3 Capricorn Fuel.

Setup which was used by both cars:

Apparently Michael (da Arab modda) worships the legendary modder of all time KicKass.
But is too scared to modd anything but soft plastic.
Sounds to me he has been too the Thomas B school of modding poor guy . Hehe

I know how to mod man, i just don't go over the top with it. I've never had a problem with engine performance.

I haven't race for 2 years (just trolled here every now and then) and you still mention me Kickass, say it, say it! you miss me

PS: Mike keep up the good work, it's good to see that you guys have finally realised Modding is half the fun in RC. I'm like the mystical sensei, i lead by example, my grashoppers laugh, then the acorn (or in this case, the reciever case) hits them on the head and they have a zen moment.

I am your sensei, you are my followers. Keep modding. My job is done here.
