Rough side to the metal plates, smooth side to the disc.

how are the brakes? and if you still have an NT1 could you tell me if the brake pads would cross over too?
Brakes are really good, strong but still controllable. Didn't experience any fading during the finals.

Capricorn sells the same set for the NT1, so they are perfectly interchangeable.
Since there is a new US distributer it shouldn't be a problem to order these parts, maybe contact Desoto racing on who is your nearest reseller.

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the comments.

Just a tip for you guys that I found. When I first built the kit my brakes did not work very well. When I took them apart I noticed that the pads were no contacting the disk completely. I would recommend that when you build the brakes make sure to sand them flat with a fine sandpaper and also to sand the disk. Then clean the disk with brake cleaner. Once I did this the brakes were great. Just an idea!

Also I was at the shop yesterday and heard Paolo saying they were getting the first shipment from Capricorn today. I am sure they need a day or so get stuff in the system, so expect parts and kits to be available very shortly. Even all the hop ups for the other brands also.

Also I am waiting for a blank set-up sheet, editable version, to be able to post my set-up. When I get it I will post mine from this past weekend. Also I will be running the car in 3 weeks at a new track and will have more info to give. Maybe my first set up is not going to be the best, since it was my first race. Will have to see.

I'm also waiting on an editable setup sheet, in the meantime I made one myself.
Maybe it's useable for you in the meantime:

Here is an attempt at posting my first set-up. Let me know if there are any questions. Ia m going to work more with the diff at the next race, since that seems to be what the majority is using and I want to be able to help as much as possible. I prefer a solid, but I am sure the diff will be fast.

Hey, is that serpent red spring the new serpent spring( circa 2008 silver spring)? Why so much rear camber? Wouldn't that take away a lot of rear grip in both forward bite and cornering grip?

Yes, they are the new serpent reds.

The camber helped me get side bite at the apex of the turn for 2 troubled turns on the track. With less camber the car would just break loose and wash out in those 2 areas. I know racers have a theory about the camber and if too much you loose grip, but I have not had that experience. Once the tires wear in you regain that contact patch so it is fine. At the beginning you will loose grip, but once the tires come in its fine. That theory may be better when it is rubber tires or on real cars, but with foam I think it is not. but I am more of a piratical application person and not much of an engineer. hehehehe

k, I am an engineering student so that explains it lol. . with radial tires they seem to love a lot of camber but from the testing I have done foam seems to act more like a bias ply. But I can say I have slowly gotten more ballsy on my setups (current one has about 4 on my base setup) But I think that was the first time I had seen 5.5 on a nitro car anywhere.
