Hey guys,

We ran the GLC this past weekend and my car was really good. I was able to take the TQ and win. I will post my set-up in a few days. It is my typical set-up that does not vary much.

Thanks guys,

My car has been really good and this year has been a good year for my racing. Hopefully things stay positive going into the Nationals coming up.

Been busy at work, but will post my set-up soon.

Thanks,

DJ Apolaro

It does depend a little on the relative bumpiness of the track you plan to run on. With a bumpy track I would choose anywhere from 1400 to 1800. A smoother track try 1800 to 2200.
If your unsure and want to learn or feel the difference and make your own decition on which to use/ what oil you like for the track your on. I would say go very soft , say 1200 '!6+3: Too soft really. Feel how the car rolls around corners and handles. Bring the car in and go harder ..... say 1600. Notice the difference? Better? Now try going harder still say 1800 or 2000:
If you do try this, give each shock oil roughly the same environment ..... ie. New or at least same size tires. Same track with similar conditions. Same gearing and other set-up options the same.
If you'd like to run something close to what will work on most track..... I would go for 1800.
All the best in what you do.

Xray, Capricorn and Kyosho are all good. All these are graduated in cps for viscosity. This makes it easier to relate oil thickness. Oils stated in weight are hard to relate thickness (unless you keep to the same brand. I'm not saying the quality of those oils stated in weight for viscosity are poor quality, some are just as good as Xray etc.
Trinity 40 wt oil could be thicker then Associated 40Wt.
Mugan is also a good oil rated in cps ......
Also remember that the same oil will be thinner in hot weather then in cooler weather ....... !
All the best.

Joel I beleive they ran 2000 wt shock oil with 6 holes due to the extreme hot weather they had. It was 40+ degrees at the recent euros and the pre worlds in thailand

Fellas i know this is somewhere in the thread, but I've read 70+ pages.....question is, for you who ran the co1 how much of a improvement is the co2? Is it still worth it to get a co1 or not??
