The MTX3 was a good car for its time, but parts are getting very hard to find now.
Could try E-bay, or some of the RC web sites for parts, but $300.00 for an MTX3 is very high priced now.
You can find MTX4, and MTX4R for less than $300.00.
Even if the MTX3 came with motor, servos, receiver and starter box, and was in excellent condition, I dont think I would pay that much.
I bought one of my MTX4R for much lees than that, and it looked like it was just built it was in such good shape.
You should look at the web sites, and pick up a good used MTX4R.
Mugen will be coming out with the MTX5 hopefully sometime this year which will then make the MTX3 even more of an outdated car.
I ran the MTX3 when they first came out, and thought it was a good car, but it is outdated now

Default mtx3

with a screen name like that you should already know well everything!! I personally liked the mtx3 better then the 4. the 4 is very tight in the motor area and requires you to remove tensioner to take it out. anyways 300.00 is steep for the mtx3 but not a bad car to start with if you can get some parts mostly arms and uprights and a better deal.

$300 for an MTX? Are you nuts?

It was a good car and I had one last summer. If it weren't for the parts problem, I would still have it. How bad is the parts problem? Well the Mugen Seiki Team races at my local track and even they don't know who to refer me to for parts on that car.

If you have to get a Mugen get an MTX4, they're relatively cheap in comparison to all the others out there simply because it is very late in its product life cycle. It, the MTX4 is really overdue for a "remodel".

Otherwise, I think there was somebody selling an MTX3 package in the for sale forum cheap. It was like two chassis and a boat load of parts. It may be still available.

parts for mtx3 is not a problem, have your lhs order from mugen racing directly,
i have no issued getting belts spurs (original pitch) suspension arms, everything directly
from mugen racing in california! on my club, 6 mtx3 still running with no issues whatsoever
the rest are mtx4 and some mtx4R!

Parts .. Still around but not getting easier!
Price... Much too high.

Just my opinion.

I'll race my MTX3 tomorrow ..... she has been sitting almost 3 years.

What concern me for tomorrow race is receiver battery. Hopefully the battery still okey for 30 minutes or 45 minutes racing.

Yup! that was my MTX3 Love that car....handle nice! I drove G4S and now have the NT1 (thinking about selling the NT1) and before MTX3 I drove 2 difference serpent 710 and 720...and I hate it. By far I like this MTX3 as much as I like the NT1. Reason I bought the NT1 is because of the RX box. I dont like my RX hanging outside.

Any how, if no one pick this up I might just sell the NT1 and drive this MTX3. My local indoor offroad track may build onroad track this summer.

Shoot..... my race wasn't great today ..... I was A7 until minutes 25 and the battery become so low power, so I decided to quit the race. My car almost crash (out of control).

Btw, I love my mtx3 handling with 18t pulley ( instead of 19t pulley, >> rear side middle pulley ). I observed with so much under drive ratio, it reduces mtx3's tendency to understeer. Today I use kawahara tires, 37 front ( cut at 63mm diameter ) and 40 rear ( no cut, about 66mm ). My home track's surface is abbrasive lately.
