Default Okay, I finally tryed them out.

Okay I am going to break it down:
Mugen MTX-3,
Durability!
Low CG
Really Fast and Handling
Heavy compared to Serpent
Serpent 710,
Light
Really Fast
Handling
Low CG.
Fragile compared to mugen.

As you can see I felt as if I was holding the same car, except two different companies.
The mugen was not too heavy, but the serpent was definatly lighter. The thing is that the mugen, to me, is built like a tank. The Serpent 710 has some of its weak spots, but is durable over all.
It all boils down to how you drive the car and avalability of parts as people told me. I liked the quick and nimble handling of the serpent and the mugen. when I tested both cars the Serpent seemed the right one for me. I mean parts are obtainable, I live in Florida so if my local hobby shop didn't have the parts, it would be in the next day. My TL-01 Tamiya had really bad handling. Both cars were a major upgrade in that . The serpent accelerates faster against the mugen. Both were outfitted with NS3 Engines.
So I guess im on the serpent bandwagon......but if mugen comes out with a MTX-4 with a tough and lighter chassis, sign me up for one.

amgman, I definitely agree with you.

In fact the same goes when JC raced the G4 and BB raced the NTC3 ... all were heavily modified ...

Maybe, but dont expect many Japanese companies making option parts for the serepnt 710.

Having said that, however, a car does not need that many upgrades to compete at the highest level of racing.

That is what I truly believe in.

well, i believe that is pretty much the case with most of the pro class touring cars out there on the market.

i have heard that the aftermarket option houses dont usually make parts for serpent because their cars are more to changes (updates) sooner than the japanese cars. Therefore, the options made for the previous model may be useless on the later revised model, and hence the option house will loose money.

However, having said that, I dont believe in upgrades, so that would not be a factor for me in the case of any car.

It's really no use buying 3rd party optional parts for a Serpent.
Serpent usually makes all the upgrades you'd need for their cars.
If people want Japanese optional parts for the 710, 3Racing is making parts for it.
Most of that stuff is just "Bling Bling" anyways.
