Hi Andrew,

i had an absolute shocker was on a decent qualifier in the 5th round and was taken out, only made the quarter and my own mistake i put to much ride height in and cut the tyres to big so she kept rolling everywhere also the engine went lean found the middle adjustment o'ring to have leaked. Very dissapointing but there is always next year. Awsome track and facilaties though.

Awesome final between Stevie J and Jeff Hamon and lets not forget that Jesse Davis bought his Edam home in third position with a very consistant race. Can't weight till next year.

Cheers,
Michael

Hi Mike

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, Jesse did well he just couldn't keep up with Jeff and Steve, but he stayed out of trouble and ran his own race

Everything now in the gearbox area is lot better and runs alot truer. the only thing now that need to be in my mind is better setup for the shoes to make the change a lot more consistent.

Has any one ever run kick up with the front upper mount being angled with a shim/shims in the front, less or no shims in the rear? Going to give it a shot this weekend and see how it works out.

First race ever on Spirit 981.

TQed the event with almost 1 second faster than the following guy, ended second place on A-Main due to some heavy problems of finger/brain coordination

Very nice chassis, very reliable, predictable car, loved it ...

cya !

Used 40 front and 40 rear (Matrix), A-Main is a 2 x 20 minutes format.

Cool in that format do you get to do any repairs or changes in between the two mains? That format in the states would save a lot of headaches I would think,in terms of your own main. It probably could make a longer race day unpleasent in the time it would all end, so I dont think it would work here.

Hi Matthew,

the main thing you will find once set correct is a more consitent change. I think this is due to everything through the 2 speed no runs a lot more truer. i also replace my 2 speed springs a lot more often now to help with the consistency roughly every 3rd to 4th race meeting. other advantage is also it is light weight so it will help with evry thing spooling up alot quicker. i also have lightened my spur gears as well by drilling them out equally around the outside diameter.

So by rights the 2 main things you will find is the 2 speed will run truer and you ahould have a little more punch out of corners due to the lightness.

i hope this helps Matthew and apologizes for the late reply.

Cheers Michael

Anyone know if the Edam receiver box fits the MTX4?, I loathe exposed radio gear, but I'm hoping to graft on a Edam or Shepard box, though I have no idea where to get Edam gear from?.
