Good weekend for Edam in the UK. At round 2 of national series, Luke Longley took 2nd in the 200mm 'foam' class, and Ian Billett 2nd in the 200mm 'rubber' class. This was the Spirits first national race meeting in the UK, so well done to both drivers.

Most people are using kyosho v-one rrr spring. But I am using x-rays as I had lot of them from my nt1. For tires any big brands like ATS, exceed, Edam, etc should work fine. Depend on where you run it try front/rear 37/40 or 35/37 should be a good starting pt.

Hi Trevor,

Where are you from ? what condition is the track you are running on ? which engine did you choose to run in the car ? i myself use the kyosho light springs alround i'm still using the standard 2 speed with no real major issues all i done was take the anodize off the hub and i rounded the 2 speed shoes a little more than standard. tyre wise i have found the likes 37 all round i usually use ats tyres but am trying a set of capricorn as i have heard the wear is a lot better and better traction. if the heat comes up i normally swap to 40's all round.

Anyway i hope this helps,

if you are running around whalen on 40s and the track hasnt been cleaned the car will be an absolute handfull try 35s front and rear for there especially now that the colder weather is coming.
Trevor more than happy to try and help you out, i have sent you a pm.

Has any one had a over flow problem with the tank where you tilt the car a little and it wants to die at idle . Adjust the bottom end very little change, checked the tank for air leaks checks out fine. Changed pipe only thing not changed is the motor. If any body has an anwers or ideas thanks.

probably tuning, i usually pick my car up and shake it once or twice vertically and the car dies.

btw, no news for the edam world from here. there were a couple of drivers at the worlds but I don't think I saw anything anything revolutionary.

I wasn't aware of a different top deck but I cut mine a while back to do the same thing as what a thinner plate would do, create flex.

flex creates steering with low traction. the thicker plate would be better for higher traction
