I have that engine and it hauls arse. It is one of the best engines that came out last year. A couple of people where pretty impressed with it last year down in Renton when we ran in the club races. There are a few that are out that could kick its butt though...but in my opinion, still holds pretty strong with the best of them.

The only thing that I found bad with the engine was the low end needle kept loosening up after time...I think the o-ring deteriates too fast and you have your low end getting too lean. I just slapped on a Novarossi carb and away I went.

are you looking to buy one?...I am actually planning on selling mine that is almost brand new. I just ran my regular sirio last year and that was good enough for me. The engine is not even broken in yet...Let know!

thanks for the info, i just bought it on ebay, coz my os tr is kinda slow on the track. Just one more question how hard it is to tune the collari engine, coz i'm not that good on tuning.

nice one...do you mind me asking how much you paid for the engine?

Then the question would be, how new are you in the hobby? If you are a total newbie, I would suggest you go down to your local track or LHS and ask them to tune your engine for you. It is very easy to overheat your engine when tuning it incorrectly.

Here's a quick neutral setting for the carb.

Tighten all the screws clockwise just enough...but not too tight except for the mid screw.

Turn the high end needle counterclockwise 5 turns

Adjust the mid screw so that it is flush with the carb end

Turn the low end need counterclockwise 3 turns

Turn the idle screw counterclockwise until you see a 1mm gap in the air intake.

This is what I usually set a carb to when I first get it and go from there...but you will probably need a temp gun to make sure it doesn't overheat...that would be bad news.

good luck!

Are you sure that you got the Sirio based Collari and not the older version that is based on the Picco?

I haven't seen a Sirio based 12 on Ebay yet.

What does it look like? The upper engine is the old Picco based, the second pic is the new one.

The second picture is not the Sirio, but the Pixy. I saw a Collari Sirio with the gold head at my LHS for an ungodly price.

The first pic is the M. Collari Engine. Can't really see the top of it, but by the look of the carberator, it looks like the one. I have one myself and they are smoking fast. The Sirio M. Collari comes with a black stock tuned sirio carb. The top of it is a nice gold like the pic...but like Grinder said...the second pic definitely ain't the one we are talking about.

If anyone is looking...I am selling it at an ungodly price...

Hey Grinder...what is you LHS selling the engine for?
