Default Nitro tc3 questions

Alright I just got a nitro tc3 And I'm looking to begin racing with it. Not pro level racing of course, just club racing. I used to race a TC5 so I know the racing scene. So back to my question, I'm looking to put a sirio s12-trp pro in the nitro tc3, and I'm just wondering if the engine will work because it has a pilot shaft and what clutch should I use?

Thanks for any help!

I should also ,If you do go with a centax clutch it will only work with pilot shaft engine.

Thanks for any help!

Yes it will work. The NTC3 can use a pilot or short standard shaft with the appropriate adaptor. To run with a pilot you just need the nut. Some after market made a centax clutch for the NTC3 but it expensive 100.00++. and hard to find. I would run the three shoe setup with the copper springs. A centax clutch is going extremely hard on your diff gears(weakest point of your drive train). Good luck and have fun!!!!

Pass you soon...

Thanks for the help! Now my finale question is this: would anybody happen to have the part number for the 3 shoe clutch? All I can find are the two speed clutch parts and the 3 shoe flywheel. This maybe a stretch but could I just order the three shoe flywheel and two sets of the 2 shoe clutch shoes and springs?

Thanks again

The only difference is the fly wheel. Just get the 3 shoe flywheel and then you buy the parts for it. I'm not sure how many springs and fly weights come in a package. Just buy the copper springs they are a stiffer spring.
