We're having a sale on GQ 42 shores at http://shop.radiostyrt.no/ now. $8.20 for 42R and $8.40 for 42F!

PS! Only for non US-citizens as RCTexas won't let us sell in the US.

Thanks!

Default On the rug w/ GQs

I know you guys run nitro, but I thought some of you might be interested.

I wanted to move to a narrower wheel for rug racing. I have an Xray that can't stay off the pipes and I was breaking 28mm wheels like crazy because an impact on our pipe barriers would cause the front wheel to ram into the camber link and crack the wheel. Loosing a pair of new $22 JACOs by the second run gets expensive eal quick.

I stumbled on to the GQs at rcTexas. Even though the 26mm wheels are for asphalt/nitro applications the difference in foam between asphalt 26s and carpet 28s isn't so great that I would rule out the use of these for carpet.

Also rcTexas' prices are impossible to ignore. I figured that at $9/pair it would be worth trying a couple sets to see how they work out. I ordered 4 pairs - 2 40s and 2 37s and paid less that I would for 2 pairs of JACOs at my LHS.

They're excellent.

I ran them last night. They provide as much traction as the JACO 28s I had been using, didn't load up as much, wore better and they didn't break on the pipes.

They're in good enough shape right now that I won't have to retrue them before my next outting.

I also got better top speed and acceleration, but that's more due to the width of the wheel that the tire compounds.

I came away thinking that these foams might be the best kept secret in RC cars.

I love them. I sold!
