Thumbs up JR R1 w/ 3 RXs

Grab it and run!

I won't use any other radio; reliable, well-fitting and very functional even before knowing all of the radio's features!

Modules are readily available.

Only negatives; very proprietary and pricey..but worth every red cent. You'll never need another radio.

Strictly my humble opinion.

27Mhz is available, the only thing I'm not sure of is whether it's available in AM for 27 or 75. Horizon Hobby has all the JR you need. Stormer's is pretty good too.

The M8 is cheaper, but I think the R1 is a better Tx.

Good luck!
